Abstract

With the development of technology that develops in society, the need for electrical energy increases so that optimal and quality electrical energy is needed. One of the quality electrical energy comes from optimal distribution, but in its distribution there are often disturbances such as current imbalances caused by several factors, causing power losses. The use of non-linear loads on customers is one of the causes of power losses caused by the emergence of harmonic currents so that the sinusoidal waveform that is channeled becomes defective. Power loss can affect the level of distribution quality and decrease efficiency in power transformers in the 150 kV Blora substation. The development of today's technology world has created energy-efficient lighting such as Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL), however, the voltage and current harmonics generated by these loads can result in high power losses, therefore simulation and analysis of the power losses caused are required. by non-linear loads such as CFLs. Simulation of power losses caused by Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) on the efficiency of power transformers at PT PLN (Persero) 150 kV Blora substation using the ETAP 19.0.1 software. Based on the data obtained, it is then simulated to show a distorted waveform. The results of the simulation show that the THDi value at the 150 kV Blora substation does not meet SPLN D5.004-1: 2012, while the power loss caused by THD results in a decrease in the efficiency of the power transformer in the 150 kV Blora substation by up to 2,32%.
