Abstract

Foreign exchange reserves are all foreign assets controlled by monetary authorities and can be used at any time, to finance balance of payments imbalances or in the framework of monetary stability by intervening in the foreign exchange market and for other purposes. This study aims to analyze the influence of net exports, foreign investment, interest rates, and inflation in Indonesia in 1991-2019. The analysis tool used in this study was multiple linear regression with OLS (Ordinary Least Square) models. The results of this study showed that variable net exports, interest rates, and inflation had a positive and significant effect on foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia. Meanwhile, foreign investment variables have no significant effect on foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia.
