Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the shopping behavior of house wife in the Geyer traditional market based on income, cultural, and economic factors. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic design. Collecting data in this study by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the relationship between income factors, namely the amount of income in the shopping behavior of housewives in traditional markets, (2) the relationship between cultural factors, namely the tradition of bargaining, in the shopping behavior of housewives in traditional markets, (3) the relationship between economic factors, namely family. in the shopping behavior of housewives in traditional markets. Discussion of the results shows that the income a major factor in the shop, the higher the income tend to shop but instead the diverse needs of the lower income tend to shop needs that are not diverse. Cultural factors have a relationship shopping with bargaining. Bargaining is done with the aim of getting a lower price. Economic factors also have a shopping relationship, namely the encouragement of different family needs. So the conclusion is that income, cultural, and economic factors are related to the shopping behavior of housewives in traditional markets.
