Abstract

Dating Violence is a form of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) which means an act of violence or aggression that happens on a relationships. This research aim to understand the correlation between emotional intelligence and attitude towards dating violence. Partner in this context means a relationship between man and woman that confess to be attached emotionally. In fact, there are a lot of dating violence cases which targeted female as its victim. Female students are women who studies in college/university. While the sample in total of random 100 respondents for this research were female college students, live in Central Java with age range from 18 to 21 and have a boyfriend. The data had been gathered by using emotional intelligence scale and attitude towards dating violence scale and shared using google form. This research had been analyzed with product moment correlations method. The results shows (r) -0.049 with sig. (1-tailed) 0.314 which means there is no correlation between emotional intelligence and attitude towards dating violence.
