Abstract

This research aims to; a) to describe marketing pattern in banana chips home industry; b) to describe the inhibiting and supporting factors of marketing in banana chips home industry. This research used qualitative type with ethnography design. The technique of collecting data is by observation and interview. The subjects of this research were banana chips home industy ownwers and marketing shop owners of banana chips home industry. The findings of the study prove that; a) the marketing patterns used by the banana chips home industry are direct marketing (producer-cunsumer) and marketing with intermediary (producer – retailer – consumer); b) marketing inhibiting factor faced is marketing reach is not wide, while marketing support factors are many shop partners and large network of friends.
