Abstract

BasedionidataifromitheiCentraliStatisticsiAgency, Indonesia's population growth ratio is 1.49% nationally, of course it will affect the increase in the need for clean water. Weleri District is included in the service area of PDAM Tirto Panguripan Kendal Branch District. This thesis examines the increase in water demand in the Weleri District for the next 10 years based on population growth. Next, analyze theiamountiofiwaterineedsithatimustibeimet and calculate the reservoir capacity that must be provided. This study also analyzes the value of economic feasibility based on an engineering economics approach. Economicifeasibility valueiiis calculatedibyicomparingitheivalueiofibenefitsiwithitheivalueioficosts (B/C), the difference in cost of benefits (B-C), the internal rate of return (IRR). Also reviewing the determination of water prices, itiisihopediithatiithisiicanibeia reference for setting water prices. From the results of the calculation of population growth using the linear regression method in 2029, it is 66,341 people. From the increase in population, it is predicted that the increase in the number of customers is 5,326 SR. It takes 39.114 liters/second to meet the water needs based on the increasing number of customers. With a total water production of 35 liters/second starting in 2024, it is no longer able to serve water needs in Weleri District while reservoir capacity based on sequential peak calculations in 2029 requires a reservoir storage capacity of 295.70184 m3 with a total available reservoir capacity in Weleri District as much as 300 m 3 reservoir storage needs are still fulfilled. Based on the results of calculations with the technical economic approach and the interest rate used in this research is 7.5% the cost value obtained in 2009 is Rp. 2,853,798,255 while the benefit value is Rp. 4,317,246,846 in this condition the amount ofiiB/C = 1,513, B-C = Rp. 1,463,448,609 IRR = 7,79%. So it can be concluded that this project is economically feasible. And the recommendation for determining the price of water based on B/C = 1 is Rp. 2500/m3
