Abstract

Insulation system is one of the most important parts on power transformer, It used to separating between two windings, primary and secondary . On power transformer, insulation aging can cause insulation degradation. Operation failure up to transformer failure are the effects of insulation degradation. This study aims to determine comparison of the results of Transformer III’s insulation resistance test at Kebasen substasion in 2017, 2019 and 2021. The focus of this study is to determine the quality of Transformer III’s insulation resistance at Kebasen substasion. The method used in this study are literature study and data collection. In the literature study, several tests were obtained to analyze the quality of the insulation resistance of transformer III at Kebasen substation such as the polarization index test, the tan delta test and the oil breakdown voltage test. The data taken is test result data in 2017, 2019, and 2021. The test results at Kebasen substation show that the polarization index value in 2017, 2019 and 2021 is still in good condition. In the secondary-ground testing section there was a decrease from year to year, in 2017 to 2019 there was a decrease of 0.47 and in 2019 to 2021 there was a decrease of 0.04. The results of the calculation on the tan delta test are still in good condition, tan deltas increased from 2017 to 2019 in the CT + CHT, CT, CHT (UST) testing section, namely 0.23%, 0.23%, 0.18% respectively. Then in 2019 to 2021 the tan delta has increased in CHT (UST) by 0.07%. The calculation results on the oil breakdown voltage / BDV test have an average value in accordance with the standard, but there is one bad result in the OLTC oil testing section in 2019 of 27.1 kV / 2.5 mm
