Abstract

This study aims to describe the lifestyle of mask users in the era of the covid-19 pandemic for the children of Kos Keputren Pasadena. This research is a qualitative research with ethnographic design. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity technique in this study was tested through triangulation of data sources. The stages of data analysis techniques include determining informants, interviewing informants, making ethnographic notes, asking descriptive questions, analyzing interviews, creating domains, asking structural questions, making taxonomies, asking contrasting questions, finding cultural themes and writing ethnography. The results of this study indicate that the children of Kos Keputren Pasadena have a diverse lifestyle in wearing masks. This can be seen from the type of mask used, the type of mask material, the design of the mask, and the motif of the mask used. The impact of the covid-19 pandemic is one of them changing the lifestyle of the children of the boarding house Keputren Pasadena, who initially did not wear masks, now they must always wear masks. During the covid-19 pandemic, masks are an important element to reduce the number of covid-19 spreads. The covid-19 pandemic has been proven to affect the lifestyle of the children of Kos Keputren Pasadena in wearing masks in the pandemic era.
