Abstract

The world was shocked by the Covid-19 pandemic at the end of 2019, as well as Indonesia being a country that was also affected by the pandemic, one of which is in the field of education where schools must be conducted online including SMKN 1 Mlarak. This of course will greatly affect the level of stress, learning motivation and student coping mechanisms. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress and learning motivation and coping mechanisms in school adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative describtive correlative, with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted on 60 students of class X SMKN 1 Mlarak. The method used for sampling was purposive sampling. The questionnaires used in this study were DASS, AMS, and WOC. The results of the stress study with learning motivation showed a p-value of 0.823, which means that there is no relationship between stress and learning motivation, while for stress with the coping mechanism the p-value shows a result of 0.000, which means there is a relationship between stress and coping mechanisms. The suggestion for further research is to increase the number of respondents.
