Abstract

EFFECT OF COMPETENCY AND COMPENSATION ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES OF PT. ARIFINDO MANDIRI PATI 2020. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. May, 2021. Dian Widyastuti, NIM A210170255, Accounting Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. 2021. The objectives to be achieved in this study were to determine: 1) the influence of competence on the performance of employees of PT. Arifindo Mandiri Pati; 2) the effect of compensation on the performance of the employees of PT. Arifindo Mandiri Pati; 3) the influence of competence and compensation on the performance of employees of PT. Arifindo Mandiri Pati. This research is a type of quantitative research by obtaining data from numbers. The population in this study amounted to 38 people. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: 1) Competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance by knowing that on the basis of the calculation, the results obtained are tcount > ttable (6.226 > 2.030) and the known significance level is 0.000 < 0.05, the relative contribution is 66.9% effective contribution of 45.3%; 2) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with tcount 3,972 > 2,030 with a significance value of 0,000 < 0.05, the relative and effective contribution values are 33.1% and 22.5%, respectively; 3) Competence and compensation have a simultaneous effect on employee performance. Based on the calculation of the F test, it is obtained that the value of Fcount> Ftable, which is 36.849 > 3.26 with a significance value of 0.000 > 0.05. The coefficient of determination in this study is 0.678, which explains that competence and compensation have an effect on employee performance by 67.8% while 32.2% are influenced by other variables.
