Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between workload and motivation with cleaning service performance at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The research method uses a questionnaire. The data collection tools used are work scale, work load scale, and employee performance scale. The population of this study were five companies from seven outsourcing cleaning service companies at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The sample in this study was found 50 cleaning service employees at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta taken from each outsourcing company. Data analysis was carried out using the SPSS for windows version 18.0 computer program. Based on the results of research and discussions that have been described before, it is noted that there is no significant relationship between work-free variables and work motivation with employee performance variables. The correlation coefficient value means that there is no relationship between workload and work motivation with employee performance, and the hypothesis in this study was rejected. From the results of the study proved the category for motivation variables in the category is very high and workload in the high category. S Keywords: workload, work motivation, employee performance
