Competitive performativity fans began to be formed through activities in the cyber space, but the competition that occurs does not always go well. The emergence of a form of competitive performativity that leads to toxicity due to deep liking for idols makes fans defend their idol, and creates fanwar when fandoms denounce other idols and defend their idols. This research was conducted to see the form of toxic competitive performativity carried out by Indonesian teenage fans on Twitter. This research is a qualitative descriptive research to explain in detail the problems that occur. Data collection techniques are interviews with seven respondents and observation in Twitter as a medium that utilizes cyber space. It was found that there were three triggers that caused competitive performativity fans to become toxic, namely competition, ignited emotion, and fake fans & solo stand fans. Fanwar is one of the most frequent forms of toxic competitive performativity and there are two responses from fans, silent reader passive fans and engaging active fans.
