Abstract

The curriculum is an arrangement of plans to regulate the objectives, content and learning materials that will be given or applied in the scope of teaching and learning in schools. Curriculum management includes the process of planning, organizing, implementing, to the stage of monitoring and evaluation. This stage of management is concerned with all actions related to the details and division of tasks that may normally be carried out. The purpose of this study is to describe curriculum management at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK during the pandemic and identify the criteria for success in curriculum management at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK during the pandemic. Because this study seeks to understand curriculum management during the pandemic at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar Special Program. This type of research is field research using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods used are interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis methods used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study explain about curriculum management during the pandemic at SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Special Program whose implementation in online learning is divided into 5 periods, where each period has 4 stages. The first stage is video conferencing with the zoom meeting application, the second stage is e-learning learning with Edmodo, then the third is home visits to ensure students carry out religious activities at home and the fourth is CBT (computer based test) as material evaluation. lessons that have been carried out. Curriculum management includes the planning process at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK. One month before entering the new semester, a workshop will be held to understand how learning will be distributed to students in online learning for this semester. The workshops carried out such as making syllabus, learning tools and making videos at the same time. Organizing at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar Special Programs in coordinating learning activities had been planned at the beginning through workshops. The media used for learning are learning videos uploaded on YouTube, online discussions using Edmodo, learning using video conference zoom, home visits and daily assessments. And for the implementation of learning using Edmodo which is uploaded according to a predetermined schedule, each lesson gets 2 hours. One hour for students to understand the video, then one hour after that for students to do assignments. until the supervision stage. The concept of supervising students through a regular attendance system, greet the homeroom teacher before learning is joined by looking at the child's preparation, the completeness of the child, pre-learning activities that will be joined by the homeroom teacher approximately one hour before learning begins. Other supervision is worship activities that use monitoring books in collaboration with student guardians in controlling and supervising the implementation of student learning by signing on the student books to ensure that children participate in learning activities given from school or not, and evaluations for teachers are carried out every Saturday. to evaluate what has been done in one week. And at the end of the month there is also an evaluation related to what has been conveyed by the teachers through learning videos. Then evaluation for students is carried out periodically based on what has been conveyed basic competencies on certain subjects. Then at the end of the month there is an evaluation from the teachers who use quizzes, assignments using items already in Edmodo, and daily tests held at the end of the month. The curriculum used during the pandemic at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK was using the Covid-19 emergency curriculum. And the successes that have been achieved during the pandemic are creating creative and innovative learning, teachers who are passionate about improving work ethic, students are able to adapt to distance learning methods, students are able to understand the learning methods used by teachers, students are able to adapt quickly on learning during the pandemic, students' independence grows more when learning is online, and students' personal awareness is better by giving assignments to students.
