Abstract
This study aims to describe the form of the character of responsibility and care for the environment, the constraints of the character of responsibility and care for the environment, as well as solutions to the constraints on the character of responsibility and care for the environment in household mother. This type of research is qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity uses triangulation, and the analysis technique uses an interactive model. The results of this study indicate that, first the character of responsibility to housewives is shown by taking an active role, earnestly, and help each other. The second, the character of caring for the environment in housewives which is shown by preserving the environment, diligently collecting garbage, and managing it well. The third, the constraint on the character of responsibility, which consists of late attendance, poorly organized jobdesk, and a lack of men. Fourth, the obstacle to the character of caring for the environment, namely littering, difficulty delivering trash to the post, and difficulty selling handicrafts. The fifth, a solution to the problem of responsibility, namely by changing the operational time of the waste bank, socializing the formation of jobdesk, and asking for help from male workers. The sixth, a solution to environmental concerns, namely socialization and making garbage pits, picking up trash, and participating in various creative competitions.
