Abstract

The existence of a new type of pneumonia in the city of Wuhan, hubei province, China at the end of December 2019, called COVID-19. COVID-19 is increasing day by day and has spread widely throughout the world, especially Indonesia, this has made the government take various types of ways to minimize the spread of the disease starting with PSBB and new normal which causes an increase in the number of patients which continues to increase, this makes the burden even greater that is borne by the nurses, service and health guidance, worry about contracting the disease and uncertainty about when the event will end make the nurses who are on the front lines at risk of developing anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine how the description of nurses' anxiety in the prevention and handling of COVID-19. Methods using descriptive quantitative methods with purposive sampling technique, distributing questions using a google form questionnaire to 92 respondents at RSUD dr.Moewardi through social media. Result majority are aged 36-45 years as many as 38 respondents and aged 26-35 years as many as 37 respondents, most of the respondents are female. The distribution of respondents was carried out equally, namely in each room consisting of 23 respondents. Conclusion this study shows the level of anxiety of nurses from all rooms, namely the category of respondents who are not anxious as many as 38 respondents (41.3%), mild anxiety as many as 36 respondents (39.1%), moderate anxiety as many as 12 respondents (13.0%) and panic as many as 1 respondent ( 1.1%).
