Abstract

At the beginning of 2020 there was an earthquake which caused damage to one of the buildings in the city of Maluku, the Supreme Audit Agency Building. The impact of the earthquake caused serious damage to the facilities in the building. Facilities that were damaged included electrical installations, air conditioning systems, cracked walls, broken ceilings and collapsed tap. Field test results show that concrete structures are still good and can be reused. So it is necessary to improve the need for facilities in electrical installations such as lamps for lighting and the need for room temperature AC (Air Conditioner). To meet these needs, electrical installations need to be carefully planned according to their economic prices. The Supreme Audit Agency building has a total area of 3,516 m2 and 3 floors with many rooms plus an auditorium, requiring correct calculations and planning so that the load distribution can be balanced. Several supporting software programs for installation planning in the Supreme Audit Agency building are Microsoft Excel software to calculate the number of light points and load currents, and AutoCAD software program to draw single line diagrams of mechanical and electrical installations. Based on the calculation of the total planned power required is 147.96 kVA, one of which is the overall power capacity of the use of AC of 101.41 kVA or 81.13 kW. The calculation in this building also determines the capacity for security and the amount of cable used. This building uses a 3-phase main security with an Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) with a capacity of 225 A with NYY 4 x 120 mm2 cables that carry up to 282 A.
