Abstract

This study aims to 1) Produce a learning media booklet on the material of the volcanic eruption disaster at SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak. 2) Knowing the feasibility of booklet learning media on the material of the volcano eruption disaster at SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak. This research is research and development with 4D development model developed by Thiagarajan (1974). The stages of this research include 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Development consisting of expert appraisal conducted by material experts and media experts, and development testing of products tested first to 32 students, the second test to 32 students of grade VII E at SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak. Media creation using Corel Draw X5 software. The results showed that 1) The product of the volcano eruption disaster media booklet for grade VII students of SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak was successfully developed through the development process of R & D with a model of 4D. 2) Media booklet disaster eruption volcano for students of grade VII SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak from the material expert declared worthy with a score of 92 (92%), media experts declared worthy with a score of 88 (88%). Based on the second test to 32 students showed a score of 2462 or 96.17% with the category strongly agreed. T test results of the first test data and the second test showed a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 so ho was rejected and HI was accepted so that there was a significant difference between the first test and the second test. Based on validation results from material experts, media experts and the results of the second test by students can be concluded that the media booklet disaster eruption volcano for students grade VII SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak declared "Worthy" as a learning media.
