Abstract

This study aims to determine the legal protection provided by Koperasi Manunggal Jaya to debtors who have a flat interest loan system and also to find out the legal remedies taken by Koperasi Manunggal Jaya if there are debtors who experience non-performing loans. The research method used is sociological juridical legal research methods. This type of research is a type of empirical legal research. The data sources include primary data, namely interviews and secondary data including primary and secondary legal sources. Methods of data collection using literature study and interviews. The data analysis technique used qualitative techniques. The results showed that the Manunggal Jaya Cooperative has provided legal protection to debtors, this is in accordance with the loan agreement that has been agreed by both parties. In addition to Koperasi Manunggal Jaya, debtor also receive legal protection from the Law that has been stated in the agreement. Legal efforts in overcoming non-performing loans are carried out by continuous collection through the private chat method, sending letters or cooperative employees visiting the debtor's house with the aim of finding solutions to these problems in a family manner.
