Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) the school's efforts to increase the interest of parents of students in SDN 01 Gentungan, 2) the obstacles faced by schools in increasing parental interest in SDN 01 Gentungan, and 3) school solutions in dealing with obstacles to increasing parental interest. at SDN 01 Gentungan, Mojogedang, Karanganyar Regency. This type of research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis model through the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that 1) the school's efforts to increase parents' interest in SDN 01 Gentungan, 2) Obstacles experienced in increasing the interest of students' parents are the lack of religious learning in public schools, school funds are obtained from the government so that it is difficult to develop, the lack of experts who take care of school promotion issues, the infrastructure has not been fulfilled thoroughly, the lack of extracurriculars that are superior in schools, a lack of understanding of technology for senior teachers, 3) The solution is carried out by the school, namely carrying out activities to increase religious learning outside school hours, utilizing government funds effectively, promotion is carried out by educators in schools, utilizing existing infrastructure, bringing in external personnel at a cost volunteering from parents, and provide technology briefings to senior teachers
