Abstract

The occurrence of hypertension is getting higher 25,8% in 2013 and increase up to 34,1% in 2018. Complaints and complications happened cause many complaints like Headache, Blurred vision, pain, vomit which reduce the life expectancy and the quality of life. The type of treatments who applied can affect the quality of life hypertensive patients. In fact, traditional health facilities service used is increase up to 54,4% in 2018 . This research to determine the correlation between the consumption of herbs and the quality of life on the hypertensive patients. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive correlative research design. The population is the hypertensive patients in the working area of Puskesmas Kradenan I, Grobogan District. The sampling technique applies consecutive sampling and 96 respondents are obtained with inclusion an exclusion criteria in December 2020. The measuring instrument applies a herbs consumption questionnaire and a quality of life questionnaire using the MINICHAL questionnaire. Based on descriptive analysis the respondents who consumed herbs are 43.8%, while the respondents with a good quality of life reached 60.4% . The analysis of the Chi Square Correlation test obtained results p=0,296 or p>0,05. It can concluded taht there is no significant correlation between the consumption of herbs and the quality of life on hypertensive patients . There is no correlation between the consumption of herbs and the quality of life on hypertensive patients in Puskesmas Kradenan I, Grobogan District.
