Abstract

This research aims to find out public relations strategies in building a halal image of Wardah cosmetics. This research uses qualitative methods that aim to find out how Wardah's public relations activities perform their functions. Data collection techniques are conducted through structured interview sessions with wardah public relations and consumer speakers. Researchers not only conducted observations but also interviews and studies in the field to observe the activities carried out by wardah cosmetics public relations. Public relations is part of a company that handles all matters related to communication, both inside and outside the company, as well as ensuring the company's image in the eyes of the public is not bad. This is what attracted the attention of researchers to analyze, what strategies are used by publicists in building a halal image of Wardah cosmetics. It can be concluded that Wardah's public relation strategy in carrying out its role with three applications is the purpose of communication, communication direction and communication research. From the four models of Excellent theory in public relations, Wardah's cosmetic public relation strategy at PT Paragon Technology and Innovation in building a more dominant image using symmetric two-way model or can be called by two-way communication that wardah conveys product excellence to the public and the public can give input to Wardah for further product development. The strategy was carried out to membranding halal wardah cosmetics by focusing on good relations with the community.
