Abstract

This research examined factors that influence student academic fraud behavior and uses the fraud diamond concept, namely pressure, opportunity, rationalization, and capability. In collecting data using a questionnaire through the google form application with a random sampling method. The regression model used in this study is a multiple linear regression model with the help of SPSS 20. The research sample was 103 students of the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, batch 2016-2017. The results of this study indicate that opportunity has an effect on academic cheating behavior, while pressure, rationalization, and capability have no effect.
