Abstract

The Indonesian Government confirmed the first Covid-19 case in March 2020. Therefore, Indonesian Government has begun to tighten citizens, as well as foreign citizens who live and who want enter to Indonesia, by imposing several official regulation. Such as social distancing, always wear a mask, until limiting open-close of offices and community service. One of the violation that still exist is the use of mask when leaving the house. Some are deliberately not wearing mask, some are forget to use a mask, which result being penalty according to local regulation. With the creation of this Arduino Uno-based Mask Reminder Tool for people to care more about their health. This tool installed before exit to remind someone when they want to leave their home. The hardware component in this tool are made on the Arduino Uno-based, as well as several third applications, such as Teachable Machine and p5.js. Also require a webcam for shooting and 20x4 LCD to display text. The result of this research is the system can detect someone wearing a mask or not. When not wearing a mask, the device will sound and the red warning LED is On, and while wearing a mask , the green LED will On.
