Abstract

Economic growth becomes the important aspect to measure how success economic state. Therefore, many country always try to increase their economic growth. This reseacrh aims to know the effect of the variables of trade openness, inflation, capital formation, foreign direct investment on economic growth in ASEAN countries period 2009-2019. This study uses quantitative analysis using secondary data on countries in ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Filipina, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapura, Vietnam, Kamboja, Myanmar, Laos, serta Brunei Darussalam. This research used linear multiple a panel regression analyzed method. The t-statistic test results showed that inflation and trade openness significantly influence the direction of a positive relationship to economic growth. However capital formation and foreign direct investment had no significant effect on economic growth in ASEAN.
