Abstract

The separator is a device that functions to sort the liquid containing naphtha into two parts, namely naphtha and water based on its specific gravity. Naphtha is a liquid hydrocarbon that is used as raw material for the production of high octane gasoline. The decrease in quality of naphtha is caused by too much water content in naphtha. This is because during the separation process the water is not immediately discharged from the separator so that the water flows along the pipe to the Nafta storage tank. The purpose of making this device is to dispose of water automatically in the separator tank so that water does not enter at a later stage. Automatic water discharge with this tool can be monitored through a monitor. the water and naphtha separation method is carried out in the separator tank by providing a water outlet at the bottom and a naphtha channel at the top by continuously monitoring the level of liquid in the tank. Ultrasonic sensors are used to monitor the level of liquid in the tank at two altitude reference positions with a distance from the sensor that is 4cm to drain the liquid and 8cm to fill the liquid,tank 20cm The resulting data is in the form of digital and analog then sent to the relay driver and the output in the form of a tap will open automatically and the data will be displayed on a monitor with a Wifi intermediary.
