Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the entrepreneurship learning based on local culture at SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal. This is a qualitative research and ethnographic research design. Research location was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal. The resource persons in this study were the principal, subject teachers and students. Researchers used source triangulation. The data analysis technique in this study uses data analysis techniques on the site. The results showed that the entrepreneurial character of the Medan people implemented in entrepreneurship learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal namely independent, creative, unyielding, friendly and profit-oriented. Learning entrepreneurship at SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal is theoretical in class and practical in the field. Given the theory to provide knowledge and abilities so that students have the provisions to start a business. Meanwhile, the implementation of local culture in entrepreneurship learning is carried out through practice in the field. Through theoretical entrepreneurship learning in the classroom and practice in the field, the school instills entrepreneurial character in students. The school also providestrainings life skill that aim to inspire students if they have talent, they can develop it. Keywords : learning, entrepreneurship, local culture, entrepreneurial character
