Abstract

The current account balance is very important for a country because it describes the situation and condition of economy in a country, so it is important to observe the developments and the factors that influence it. This study aims to analyze the influence of the variable interest rates, exchange rates, gross domestic product, inflation on the current account balance in Indonesia for the period 1990-2018. This research used Partial Adjusment Model (PAM) analyzed method. The results showed that the exchange rate has a significant positive effect and gross domestic product has a significant negative effect on the current account balance in Indonesia. Meanwhile, interest rates and inflation have no significant effect on the current account balance in Indonesia.
