Abstract

UKM.Cipta Mandiri is a small and medium-sized industry engaged in the manufacture of polywood or barecore. The barecore production process consists of 9 work stations, namely the oven station, cut off I, surface planner, gang rip, corepiece inspection, corepiece preparation, cut off 2, corepiece gluing and pressing. This study aims to identify, assess the hazards that exist in the production process as well as corrective actions to control hazards using the HAZOP method. The research step is to identify the source of the hazard, assess the risk and take corrective action. For hazard risk assessment, OHS Risk Assessment method is used. The results of this study show that there are four sources of danger, that is work environment, humans, materials, and machines. The results of the risk assessment calculation obtained are three risk values are low risk with findings of 13 potential hazards, medium risk with findings of 78 potential hazards and high risk with findings of two potential hazards. To control and minimize the level of risk is use of personal protective equipment, adding boxes as wooden material containers, making standards operational procedures, and provide first aid facilities.
