Abstract

The introduction of AMDAL in schools is carried out using the participatory learning and action (PLA) learning model, this learning model demands an active role of students in the learning process. the purpose of this study (1) to examine the learning process of AMDAL material using the PLA model. (2) the effectiveness of the PLA learning model in the AMDAL material. this research is a quantitative study with an experimental research design. this research resulted in (1) the learning process with AMDAL material begins with students filling out a pre-test, followed by the delivery of material by the researcher. next the students made three groups to discuss AMDAL. each group makes mind maps as a learning medium. (2) The effectiveness of learning on the AMDAL material can be seen from the pre-test average value of 28.33. After the treatment, the average post test score was 60.00. The results of the paired sample t test between the pre test and post test have a significance value of .000, because the significance value is 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes on the material of analysis of environmental impact with participatory learning and action models which are effective in improving student learning outcomes.
