Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) The impacts of the school's infrastructure on learning difficulties in class XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong Sragen. (2) The impacts of learning motivation on learning difficulties in class XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong Sragen. (3) The impacts of infrastructure and learning motivation on learning difficulties in class XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong Sragen. This study applies a quantitative approach with comparative causal research. A total of 120 students of class XI SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong Sragen are the population in this study. Proportionate stratified random sampling technique is applied to take samples from 89 students using lottery method. The data collection method used are questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the multiple linear regression analysis. The regression analysis results obtained the regression line equation: Y = 10,954 + 0,531X1 + 0,527X2. The equation shows that learning difficulties are influenced by infrastructure and learning motivation. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Infrastructure affects learning difficulties. (2) Learning motivation affects learning difficulties. (3) Infrastructure and learning motivation affect learning difficulties. (4) The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.278 or 27.8%, meaning that the variables of infrastructure and learning motivation impact the learning difficulties by 27.8%, while 72.2% are influenced by other variables which are not being studied in this research. It is suggested to add other independent variables for future researchers.
