Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by the hormone insulin is not able to work properly so there is a pile of glucose in the blood and is characterized by hyperglycemia. The intake of carbohydrates is sufficiently capable of controlling blood glucose levels in the body. Objective : This study aimed to analyze the selected journal according to the correlation between carbohydrate intake and fiber intake with blood glucose levels. Methodology : This study used a review system on selected journals by conducting a search on the Sinta portal with a national based use of keywords: carbohydrate intake, intake of fiber, blood pressure levels, and diabetes mellitus. The criteria used were full text Bahasa Indonesia and the research design uses sectional cross. Results : Respondents had a higher level of consumption of carbohydrate (>AKG), the level of consumption ofdefisit and if the blood was not known (more). Correlation analysis results in selected article research used correlation test or chi square test. Analysis of the correlation between the car and the body in the direction of the selected art resulted a significant value (p:0,0001, p:0,000, p:0,000, p:0,001, p:0,226 & 0.409, p:0,327) and analysis of the correlation between fiber intake and blood glucose levels in the article obtained a significant value (p: 0,000, p: 0.039, p: 0.013, p: 0.607 & 0.554, p: 0.530). Conclusion: From the articles selected on the correlation between the carbohydrate intake and blood glucose levels, it could be concluded that there were 3 articles had a correlation and 2 articles had no correlation, whereas the results of the correlation between fiber intake and blood glucose levels stated that 3 articles had a correlation and 2 articles had no correlation.
