Abstract

Regarding the implementation of giving information freely on the investigation process carried out at the Sragen Police, it is still not optimal because there are still several obstacles. The obstacles that the witness encountered when giving testimony freely at the Polres included witnesses who felt burdened by oaths before giving their testimony, questions that were cornering and there was suppression, because of threats from opposing parties who were witnesses exposing their crimes, lawsuits, and witness safety. not necessarily guaranteed. Efforts that can be made to prevent the occurrence of the above obstacles, law enforcement officers, especially in the Sragen area, are that the role of law enforcement officers must be increased, witnesses must be given adequate protection for reports made regarding an incident so that witnesses are no longer afraid to provide information, fulfill their rights. The rights of witnesses and victims, as well as increasing public awareness in using legal advisory services.
