Abstract

This study examines self-efficacy, understanding of children with special needs and attitudes towards inclusive schools for male and female teachers. The variables studied were self-efficacy (X1), understanding of children with special needs (X2) as the independent variable, and gender as the moderator variable (M), then the teacher's attitude towards inclusive schools as the dependent variable (Y). Methods of data processing in hypothesis testing using statistical analysis of multiple regression and T test with the participants in this study were teachers from inclusive schools (N = 500). The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and understanding of children with special needs towards teachers' attitudes towards inclusive schools (p <α; 0.000 <0.05) and there are differences in attitudes towards inclusive schools for male and female teachers with a contribution effect of 0.93 (93%). Therefore, in this study Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
