Abstract

Thesis is a credit assignment (has a Semester Credit Unit value) that must be taken by students after taking all or most of the courses, as a condition for obtaining a Bachelor's degree. During the Covid-19 pandemic everyone felt the impact, including final-year students. The impact felt by final-year students can be in the form of difficulties caused by internal and external factors. The purpose of this research is to find out the problems or constraints are experienced by FKIP UMS students in working on their thesis during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Academic Year of 2019/2020. This research was a qualitative descriptive research. The sampling technique used random sampling. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire that has been tested first and then tested for validity and tested for reliability. The results showed that: (1) Internal factors including: health, psychological barriers, academic ability and approach (study habits) had an influence on the completion of the thesis on the mass of the Covid-19 pandemic by 67.36%. (2) External factors which include: facilities, supervisors, administrative systems, environment (friends) and other activities have an influence on the completion of the thesis on the mass of the Covid-19 pandemic is 62.48%.
