Abstract

Name: Ahmadi, G00013137. Teaching and learning activities will be maximized if there are variations between methods and instructional media, especially in the subject of Al-Qur’an. However, the success or failure of these efforts really depends on the various factors that influence it. To find out how these efforts were carried out and how the results were obtained, further research was needed. This is what makes the author feel very interested in conducting research by taking the title: Methods and Strategies for the Application of Audio Visual Media in Improving the Ability to Read Al-Qur’an at SMP Negeri 1 Kartasura (Case Study Analysis in Class VII Academic Year 2019/2020). The formulation of the problem posed is how the efforts to implement Audio Visual media in improving Al-Qur’an reading ability in class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kartasura. The purpose of this study was to describe the concept of the application of Audio Visual media in improving the reading ability of the Qur'an in class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kartasura at SMP Negeri 1 Kartasura. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using a spiral model from Kemmis and Taggart consisting of 4 action cycles. In collecting data, the writer used observation, interview and documentation methods. Meanwhile, in analyzing data using data reduction steps, data display and drawing conclusions. The flow of thinking of this research uses an inductive groove. The results of this study indicate that the application of audio-visual learning media requires good preparation so that it can be implemented optimally. Both the preparation for the teacher himself and the students to be taught. Audio-visual media is very dependent on the technology available and also very dependent on the facilities and infrastructure owned by the school. If a school does not have adequate technological facilities, the audio visual learning model is very difficult to implement.
