Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) Economic character education through entrepreneurship learning Students of Grade XI SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar, 2) Competencies achieved by students in the implementation of economic character education through entrepreneurship learning of students in grade XI SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar, 3) Obstacles faced by teachers in the formation of Economic Character education through entrepreneurship learning of students in grade XI SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar. This research is qualitative research with ethnographic approach design. The subjects of this study were the principal, vice principal, entrepreneurial teacher, and grade XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is done by source triangulation and engineering triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive models with data collection steps, data reduction, data presentation, and data inference/verification. The results of the study showed that 1) Character education through entrepreneurship learning class XI SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar has been carried out well, namely by conveying the values of character integrated through entrepreneurial learning, 2) Competency achieved in entrepreneurship subjects can increase: (a) the entrepreneurial potential of students, (b) able to correlate various information, (c) increase confidence, be more communicative, increase discipline and entrepreneur spirit, and 3) Development of economic character education in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar has several obstacles, including: (a) different student backgrounds so that the character of each student is different, (b) family support is lacking (c) the discipline of the learners who are still lacking.
