Abstract

CV. Indra Daya Sakti is a casting company that produces a frame from a traditional sewing machine, in the production process CV. Indra Daya Sakti always makes a continuous improvement, to achieve this the action is to reduce or eliminate waste. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the factors causing problems from waste that can hamper the sewing machine table foot production process including Non-Value Added activities, as well as by providing benefits to the company in the form of proposed improvements. The method used in this study is Value Stream Mapping, a process that identifies waste (waste) using several tools including Waste Workshop and Waste Relationship Matrix to weight the waste, Root Cause Analysis to analyze the causes of waste. The amount of Non-Value Added (NVA) found in the CV production process. Indra Daya Sakti is 21.11% and Value Added (VA) is 78.89%. The proposed improvement is to reduce Lead Time from 212 minutes to 182 minues and transportation time from 38 minutes to 26 minutes.
