Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) the effect of parents 'income on students' interest in entrepreneurship, 2) the effect of parents 'work on students' entrepreneurial interests, 3) the effect of parents 'income and work simultaneously on students' interest in entrepreneurship. The research method uses quantitative with a census design. The respondent consisted of 170 students of class XI and XII in the Accounting Expertise Program at State Vocational High School (SMKN) 4 Klaten. The data collection method in this study is to use a questionnaire or questionnaire given to the entire population. The data analysis technique used the classical assumption test including normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis testing used is simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that the income and occupational equations of parents have a positive effect on the interest in entrepreneurship in accounting students of SMK Negeri 4 Klaten. The conclusions drawn are: 1) Parents income affects students interest in entrepreneurship. 2) Parents 'job affects students' entrepreneurial interest. 3) Parents 'income and work simultaneously affect students' interest in entrepreneurship. The coefficient of determination shows that parents income and occupation have an effect on the interest in entrepreneurship by 29.2%. The results of this study can be used as input for parents to pay more attention to the importance of income and work as driving factors that can trigger student interest in entrepreneurship.
