Abstract

The development in the field of technology is currently experiencing rapid progress. Technology that is highly developed is the internet. The development of the internet that has increased has many positive impacts as well as in undergoing long-distance communication and in supporting daily life such as business activities, but behind the many benefits that can be obtained, the development of the internet can also have a negative impact. The nature of the internet without the limitations of space and time can ignite the emergence of a crime known as cyber crime. Legal protection for victims of cyber crime is certainly very necessary. This research uses library research that emphasizes information sources from legal books, journals, papers, newspapers and various kinds of literature. Data sources used are secondary data sources obtained from library studies, in the form of official documents, books, research results in the form of diary reports, or other library materials. This research uses the normative juridical method. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods.
