Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Management of tahfidz Al-Qur'an at MI Al-Husna 2) Cultivating the character of discipline and responsibility that follows the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program 3) The effectiveness of the Al-Qur'an tahfidz program in strengthening character students at MI Al-Husna. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive design. The resource persons in this study were the principal, accompanying teachers and students. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Technique validity of data in this study using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that: 1) Management of tahfidz Al-Qur'an at MI Al-Husna is in accordance with the objectives of the tahfidz program. Involving the principal, accompanying teachers, and guardians of students in the process of memorizing the Qur'an. Conducted every morning with the tilawati method from Surabaya. The constraints in managing tahfidz Al-Qur'an are time and the ability to memorize students. The solution to these obstacles is to always coordinate with the guardians of students so that students can memorize independently at home 2) The inculcation of the character of discipline and responsibility towards students can be seen from the attitude of students in maintaining their memorization and always being disciplined with time. 3) The effectiveness of the Al-Qur'an tahfidz program in strengthening students' character can be seen from the appropriateness of the memorization indicators with the indicators of discipline and responsibility.
