Abstract
This study was designed to describe community participation in the construction of waste treatment facilities in the Village Owned Enterprises in Blulukan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar District in 2020. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a case study design. This research was conducted in Blulukan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. The resource persons of this study are the village head, the head of the village community, cadus and Blulukan village community leaders. The problem in this research is discussing the form of community participation, the constraints of community participation, and alternative solutions to overcome development difficulties in Blulukan Village. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation techniques or data collection methods and data sources. Analysis of the data used is Miles Huberman's interactive model which discusses data reduction data collection, displays data, and collects conclusions. The results of this study show an example of community participation in Blulukan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, by providing assistance in the form of energy and thought. The obstacle to community participation is the lack of understanding of the importance of community participation in the development and utilization of waste processing products. An alternative solution is to hold a socialization about the importance of community participation in the development and utilization of waste processing. Based on the results of research on community participation in the construction of waste treatment plants in Blulukan Village, the implication is that all villages that want to advance must involve the community in every development and activity starting from the planning, utilization, and evaluation of results.
