Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Planning of character values in thematic learning at SD Al Firdaus Surakarta, 2) The role of implementing the 4 traits of Prophet in thematic learning at SD Al Firdaus Surakarta, 3) The relevance of character values in thematic learning related to 4 traits of Prophet Muhammad SAW at SD Al Firdaus. The research belongs to qualitative research with descriptive design. The resource person of the study are the School Principal, teacher of Islamic religious education, and students. Technique of collecting data are interview, observation, and documentation. The researcher uses triangulation of source and technique as the technique of data validity. Result of the study shows that: 1) planning of character values in thematic learning at SD Al Firdaus called as IB Profile which consist of 10, the purpose is to create students with extensive knowledge and being creative, 2) the role of implementing the 4 traits of Prophet in thematic learning at SD Al Firdaus Surakarta, the School Principal and teachers have an important role during the implementation, 3) the relevance of character values in thematic learning related to 4 traits of Prophet Muhammad SAW at SD Al Firdaus was carried out well and almost all of the students have implement the 4 traits character value of Prophet.
