Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is transmitted through the bite of a mosquito vector from the genus Aedes, especially Aedes aegypti, but other species Aedes albopictus can also be a vector of infection. One of the efforts to control dengue vectors is the participation of the community in eradicating mosquito nests, namely through regular and continuous larva inspection activities to reduce the density of Aedes aegypti by forming a mosquito-monitoring cadre (Jumantik). This study aims to determine the effect of the formation of mosquito-monitoring cadre on the existence of Aedes spp larvae in Indonesia. The research method used literature review research journals in several databases of Sinta Dikti and Google Scholar using keywords and with inclusion criteria Sinta indexed scientific journals / health journals and ISSN journals, the independent variable observed was the formation of jumantik cadres, and the dependent variable was the presence of larvae. Aedes spp, experimental research methods, research locations in dengue endemic areas, published in the last 5 to 10 years (starting January 2010 - present). The search results obtained 30 journals controlling experimental dengue fever, 11 articles using mosquito-monitoring cadre intervention, and only 5 journals that met the inclusion criteria. The results of the literature review show that the effect of the formation of jumantik cadres on the presence of mosquito vectors in Indonesia varies in terms of method, duration, and the individuals involved. Statistical analysis in all studies shows that jumantik intervention can reduce the House Index (HI) by 40%, the Breteau Index (BI) by 40%, the Container Index (CI) by 20% and increase ABJ> 75%. The conclusion of this research is mosquito-monitoring cadre intervention in controlling dengue can reduce the larva density rate and significantly increase the larvae free rate.
