Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning motivation and parents 'income on students' interest in continuing their study at university. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study were 71 students of SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono in the academic year 2019/2020, samples taken were 51 students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis, t test, F test, R2 test, relative contribution and effective contribution. The results of the regression analysis obtained Y = 1,097 + 0,822 X1 + 0,177 X2. The conclusion drawn is (1) learning motivation has a positive effect on students 'interest in continuing their study at university. (2) Parents' income has a positive effect on students 'interest in continuing their study at university. (3) Learning motivation and parents' income collectively -same has a positive effect on students' interest in continuing their study at university. Based on the simultaneous test (F) it is known that Fcount> Ftable (16.199 > 3.18) and a significant value Fcount of 0.000 <0.05 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.403 indicating that the magnitude of the influence of learning motivation and parents 'income on students' interest in continuing study to higher education by 40.3%.
