Abstract
Abstract This study aims to analyze the effect of PDRB, UMP and real investment on the absorption of labor in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia from 2013 to 2017. The data collection technique uses secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and National Single Window for Investment (NSWI) in the form of variables, namely the dependent variable. and independent variables. This study uses the GLS (General Least Square) method. The results of the analysis concluded that the variables of Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) and Provincial Minimum Wages (UMP) had a significant effect on the absorption of labor in the manufacturing sector while the variables of Domestic Investment (PMDN) and Foreign Investment (PMA) had an effect which is not significant to the labor absorption in the manufacturing sector. Based on the results of these studies, the suggestion that can be concluded is that there is a need for simultaneous handling of the increase in gross value added growth in the industrial sector so that it can continue to be the main growth engine in the economy and the creation of supporting infrastructure, this is useful for creating a movement of economic growth and increasing energy absorption work in the industrial sector.
