Abstract

Hospitals are health care providers that involve the interaction of many people. One form of health care that hospitals do is with hospital sanitation programs. Therefore, the cleanliness and presence of vectors and disruptive animals in the hospital need to be considered. This research aims to find out the picture of the presence of disease vectors and disruptive animals found in Universitas Sebelas Maret Hospital. The type of research used in this study is descriptive with quantitative research methods. The number of samples in this study is as many as 3 rooms found in hospitals with purposive sampling techniques. Mosquito observation was carried out on 2 inpatient wards while flies, mice and cockroaches on nutritional installations. In the results of this study obtained that the picture of the density of disease vectors and disruptive animals in univeristas hospital Eleven March i.e. flies with the result of count 4 categorized moderate density levels, cockroaches with a calculated result of 0.025 categorized low density and mice with a < count result < of 0.1% categorized low density levels. The factor that affects the density of flies in the moderate category is the temporary garbage can tub in an open state, so that the control that can be done is to make a temporary garbage can in a closed state so that it does not become a place of longing and breeding of flies and other vectors. In addition, vector and animal control is carried out by the Universitas Sebelas Maret Hospital using pest control that is carried out once a week.
