Abstract

The development of microcontrollers is now faster and more in demand as a control system. Even today the microcontroller has a smaller module, complete and practical in its application. This final project designs and realizes an application of temperature and humidity monitoring systems in iot-based mushroom houses. The application of humidity and air temperature monitoring is equipped with components such as NodeMCU ESP8266, DHT11 sensor, LCD 2x16, LCD I2C, and several other supporting components. The design and realization of humidity and air temperature monitoring applications in the Android-based ear mushroom farming business came from experimental results, while supporting the writing of this Final Project was obtained from obtained from several sources such as books, internet, and literature. This humidity and temperature monitoring application uses a microcontroller that is equipped with ESP 8266 a WIFI module that can be connected via the internet network. The working system of this tool is to detect humidity and air temperature contained in the mushroom house by using a DHT11 sensor which is processed by NodeMCU, then the monitoring result data is monitored and controlled through the Antares platform contained on the internet using WIFI as a media connecting device with a Smart Phone or PC . The test results were carried out by comparing the hygrometer thermometer with the monitoring tool that was made and produced an average temperature and humidity error of 2.8oC and 14.3% in the morning, 2.9oC and 10.2% conditions during the day, 1.3oC and 21% condition in the afternoon.
