Abstract

This research was conducted in an area in Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency entitled"Analysis of Changes in Land Use in Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency in 2014 and 2018". The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of land use changes and to analyze the main factors of land use changes in Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency. This study used a comparative method with secondary data and map analysis. The data used are statistical data as well as data explaining land use in 2014 and 2018 to analyze the changes of land use in the Nguter District area toconduct map analysis using the overlay comparison method. Based on the result of the analysis in this study, it showed that there were changes in land use in 2014 and 2018 which were dominated by changes in the use of paddy fields to residential areas with an area of change of 3,953,630.29 m2. Changes in land use in Nguter Village have more dominant changes followed by plesan and kolol areas when it compared to changes in land use in other villages such as changes in Kepuh Village. Changes in land use were influenced by several factors, such as the increase in socio-economic facilities, so it has a direct impact on changes in land use.
