Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to know the haracteristics of early childhood in Play Group Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang, and (2) to know the characteristics of learning in the implementation at Play Group Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang. This study uses a qualitative approach. Location of the study was conducted in Play Group Hj Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang, with keynote speaker source is the Principal, teachers and parents. Data collection techniques used were (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this study are (1) characteristic of early childhood in Play Group Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang are include: (a) the physical characteristics of early childhood n Play Group Hj.Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang aged between 2-4 years. They also have a healthy body condition so that it can interact with teachers and their environment. They are able to do the afternoon motor movement and fine motor. (b) cognitive characteristics of early childhood in Play Group Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang are able to recognize colors, numbers, letters and symbols. They also have the ability to play the role that being taught by teachers. (c) the social characteristics of early childhood emotional in Play Group Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang is very good. They can interact with peers and with older people like parents and brother. Implementation of Learning in Play Gruop Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang consists of activities (a) Preparation of learning which includes making lesson plans, which are prepared by determining the appropriate stage of evelopment objectives, development indicators set to be achieved, establishing the concept and content of the curriculum will be introduced, determine the theme of activities, determine the tools and materials, and developing the RKP (Learning Activity Plan).(b) The learning process is conducted in accordance with he guidelines of Early Childhood Learning Menu by using the learning management guidelines include the management of learning rocesses and assessment and reporting. In the implementation of learning in the PG Hj Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang BCCT method (Beyond Centers and Circle Time). Evaluation of learning activities undertaken PG Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang consists of three activities, namely the assessment, recording and reporting. Evaluation activities conducted to evaluate the results belajatr students.
