Abstract

Many young poeple are not interested in studying the Qur’an, when they are reading or writing Qur’an. The background in the research is that extracurricular activities read Al-Qur’an in Junior High School 2 Gatak. Students are expected to be able to read Al-Qur’an well and properly. Student discipline in following reading activities the Qur’an in Junior High School 2 Gatak, no too inspiring for students. Islamic religious education teachers are therefore expected to instill the passion and motivation of VII graders. The problem’s rumblings is How is the Islamic education teacher’s effort to promote class VII student discipline Junior High School 2 Gatak in conjuction with extracurricular activities, the Al-Qur’an 2019/2020 school year. What is the retrad factor for the islamic education teacher increasing the discipline of seventh grade Junior High School 2 Gatak students in extracurricular reading the Al-Qur’an 2019/2020 school year. The study aims to describe the efforts of the Islamic education teacher in increasing the discipline of seventh graders Junior High School 2 Gatak in following the Qur’an reading activities and to identify the Islamic education teacher’s hamper in enchanging the discipline of seventh graders Junior High School 2 Gatak. The research uses this type of field research with stationed phenomena approach based in Junior High School 2 Gatak. The subject of this study is Islamic religious education teachers and students. The data-collection technique used was interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used using models Miles and Huberman, wich consists of education, data presentation, and deduction. The results of this study suggest that the Islamic education teacher’s efforts to increase the discipline of seventh in extracurricular in Junior High School 2 Gatak reading Al-Qur’an included them attendance of class is conducted by students who attend extracurricular activities, read Al-Qur’an notes, and sentence students who are not present to extracurricular activities. As for the inhibitors of the Islamic education teacher in increasing the discipline of seventh grades student in attending extracurricular activities reading Al-Qur’an, among these are environmental and family factors, and limited teaching workforce in teaching reading an writimh the Qur,an. Then limited learning tools such as iqra’ and Qur’an.
